{"id":32501,"date":"2026-09-20T15:42:46","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tridi.org\/?p=32501"},"modified":"2026-09-20T15:42:46","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T12:42:46","slug":"leadership-voice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tridi.org\/education\/leadership-voice\/","title":{"rendered":"LEADERSHIP VOICE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FROM PROGRAMME TO PATHWAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Demas Lukoye Kutosi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Program Manager<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most important question for a programme manager is not, \u201cDid we conduct the activity?\u201d It is, <strong>\u201c<\/strong>What happens because we conducted it?\u201dThat is the lens through which SIYEP&#8217;s work should increasingly be understood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A training session matters when the trainer applies the new knowledge, A scholarship committee matters when it helps a young woman access training, A competition matters when a participant improves her competence, A media story matters when it changes how society sees TVET and women&#8217;s skills, A partnership matters when it creates something that one organisation could not have achieved alone. The next stage is therefore about strengthening the pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>THE PROGRAMME MANAGER&#8217;S AGENDA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. From enrolment to retention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Getting young women into training is the first step. Keeping them engaged matters just as much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. From training to competence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learners need opportunities to practise, demonstrate and receive feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. From competence to markets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Skills must connect to employers, customers, entrepreneurship and productive opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. From individual activities to institutional systems<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TVET institutions must increasingly own and sustain the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. From numbers to evidence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme must continue asking what changed and how we know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The real measure of a skills programme is not how many people entered the classroom.
