I urge all Ugandans to get interested in silk it will change your lives…You can join as an out grower, farmer, casual workers, engineer by the way before I forget we need students to do certificates in related courses like sericulture, applied chemistry, agriculture and mechanical engineering if the student is good and performs well you have high chance of getting employed within the company

Friday 28th May 2021 shall be remembered as a day we received post cocoon processing machines at Sericulture Research and Development Station, Rubare Sheema. This particular set of post cocoon processing equipment shall process at least 450kgs of cocoons to yarn per day. We also received the weaving equipment to produce silk fabric. The Machines were received by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations Hon Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, The Director of Technoprenuership Basil Ajer, Executive Secretary Uganda National Council for Science and Technology Dr. Martin Ongol, Sheema District local government leaders and several stakeholders
