October 26, 2021Tropical institute of development innovation (TRIDI) has come up with agriculture as the main key word in Uganda
The institute has advanced lecturers who has different skills of knowledge more especially “science teachers”
They came up with the knowledge of planting bamboos and it’s planted in raw system of about 90*90 cm at school
Bamboo was planted mainly to drain the land because it was swampy since it consumes a lot of water
It creates the shade and beauty to the institute since, it deals with green.
It maintains soil erosion and adds fertility in the soil
Investment in agriculture are the best weapons against hunger and poverty, it will make life better for billions of people in Uganda
The key lies in empowering the millions of smallholder producers and landless workers who form the backbone of rural economies in most developing countries to grow their incomes and improve their livelihoods by raising agricultural productivity
TRIDI has different course offered like Journalism, Ict, Fashion and Design, Sericulture, Applied Chemistry, and Engineering and Mechanic Its aim is focusing on agri- business, research, skill development and creation of jobs
