On 4 August, COU Family TV’s NewsAt8 carried a story on TRIDI’s work at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute.
Its framing was clear:
“SIYEP EQUIPS STUDENTS, TUTORS WITH INDUSTRY-RELEVANT COMPETENCIES.”
Another lower-third described the partnership as promoting:
“practical training, gender inclusivity.”
THE BIG IDEA
A good instructor today needs more than subject knowledge.
They need to understand:
- market requirements;
- competency-based assessment;
- gender-responsive teaching;
- safeguarding;
- disability inclusion;
- practical demonstration;
- evidence of learning;
- how technology changes the workplace.
THE QUESTION FOR EVERY TRAINER
“If the market changed tomorrow, would my training change with it?”
